Lamps Sprout Flora

The City of Shelby is busy filling baskets full of bedding plants and hanging them from the city lamp posts this week. The plants and baskets were purchased with donations. The plantings were obtained through Shelby Floral and Gift. The donations were raised at the annual "Cinco de Mayo" event held in Shelby. In the photo below, three people fill and hang the baskets while one operates the backhoe.
