Police get swamped

The Parade of lights left the cities finest a little thin as they tried to secure downtown for the parade. In the mean time there was accidents and attempt to locate calls as well as a shoplifter at Capitol Market on State St with a knife treating the cashier. The police also has a disturbance on the parade route. Hundreds of spectators lined Liberty and Commercial Streets. The parade got a late start. The Children on Chemeketa St. were running up and down the street playing, while waiting for the Parade.
