Bill and Chelsea Clinton Visit Salem

At Riverfront Park downtown Salem was roped off and made ready for the former president and first daughter to visit. People started filtering in at about 11:00 a.m. for the 2:00 p.m. rally. At 1:00 p.m. about 200 people had arrived. At 1:20 p.m. Salem Police officers swept the area around the ampatheather. By 1:30 p.m. the amount of people had doubled. The Hillary Clinton staff through out shirts to the crowd. The rally started at 2:00 p.m. Erika Alexander spoke as the traveling celebrity. Chelsea was the first to talk following the governor's introduction. Chelsea stated, "her mom would be a better president then her dad was." Bill Clinton stated, "the media only shows one side, the media is bias." Bill has visited 26 communities in Oregon during the campaign. Bill talked about Hillary's energy plan, county payments for services, the states forestry, healthcare, education, and medical research. Comment at the link below.
