"Gus" Robertson founded the Octagon Empire Company in 1976. He then founded Kostman Electronics as a div. of the Octagon Empire Co. in 1988 at Shelby, Montana, USA. At that time, Kostman Electronics was a tiny department in the company's small retail store located at 200 Main Street. After growing at that location for three years, Kostman Electronics moved, with Gus, to another location in Shelby and then to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA in 1995.
